I was planning on posting about Mardi Gras (it was March 8th, also International Women's Day, incidentally), but that turned out to be a total flop. Ezra whined about his mask for a good solid hour (Why did we put a stick on it instead of striiiiiing? Why isn't it stiff enough to stay up on its owwwwwn? you get the idea), my (2) king cakes were under-cooked, and nobody felt like dancing around with beads on (except for Georgia, who will dance anytime, anywhere...but she, unfortunately, was naked for most of the time and generally unfit for pictures). Then, I ended up doing pretty much nothing for St. Patrick's Day since we were driving home from Oklahoma for a good chunk of it, so that one crashed and burned too. Instead you get random Scarlett pictures. Enjoy!
Scarlett was such a great little helper while I was making french toast for dinner tonight. Other then the one slice of bread she attempted to soak and toss onto the griddle by herself (it hit the floor instead...I suspect it still got used inadvertently), she didn't really make much extra work. I just couldn't help but watch her endlessly stirring the batter and realize how grown up she really is getting. I guess it happens to them all, right?
Nothing like a little raw egg and milk. yummy.

haha that's hilarious! :o)
Ahhh! I was so excited to see that you had posted. I've been checking my blog list to see if you or Lib has posted like a stalker. I'm glad that I can get a bit of my composure back, now.
Ooooohhh! I miss that little bit so much!! She is so beautiful, adorable and spunky all rolled into one. She is getting so big...I can't even believe it, either. I love her apron, btw. So cute. The rick-rack is adorable. Ummm, you didn't reeeally let her suck off that raw egg, did you?? ;)
I remember trying French Toast batter. Didn't try it again; yuck. Also, didn't worry too much about Salmonella back in the "olden days". Probably either immune or a chronically infected carrier anyway, with eating shirt-sleeved cleaned carrots out of the (well farm fertilized) garden and years of cows' tails across the face... Aahh those good ole days, I can almost feel the grit in my teeth with ode earthworm added flavorings, not to mention the warm smell of green mountain salve on my ear and cheek... wait a minute, I think that last part happened yesterday ; )
She really is so beautiful and I loved seeing you and your kids last week. I'm telling you Whit, your girls are gorgeous, you are going to have your hands full when teenage years come...
Eh, I love eating cookie dough and am a full supporter of licking the bowl after making brownies, I figure my kids will survive. :)
My goodness, Whitney! She really is BIG! She looks like a full-grown person in a little person's body, you know? I love the strong, powerful spirits your kids have - they are going to be great leaders one day.
Soooo, I was just sitting here thinkin'...we need an updated belly pic. Thank you. That will be all.
Aren't you supposed to dance around naked at Mardi Gras? :)
