Happy (late) Birthday, Missy Doo!

I seem to have been feeling incredibly lazy lately and haven't gotten around to posting Georgia's birthday pictures. I know, I know, I'm a horrible mom...blame it on the pregnancy blahs.

Anyway, my little Georgie turned one on Monday, May 26th (Memorial Day). Yay! Yay! I can't even believe she's getting to be such a big girl! She's just so adorable and so much fun. It always amazes me, looking back, how much of a personality they get in their first year. She's turned into such a little drama queen and will often collapse to the floor in tears or play bashful with strangers and acquaintances alike (especially men-did I mention she's a big flirt). Georgia adores her big brother, Ezra and will follow him around the house like a little puppy dog. They can get into loads of trouble together. She's even worse when it comes to Spencer-nothing had better get between her and her daddy! Our big girl also took her first couple of steps yesterday and today.
I don't think George is ready to start running, but I bet by the end of the month we'll have a regular walker on our hands.

Before we get to the good stuff, I figured I'd throw her recent 12 month well-baby check-up stats in just to give you an idea about her size (which, it turns out, is pretty small:P)

Height:27 1/4 in (in the 5th %)
Weight: 16 lbs 14 oz (3%)
Head: 17 3/4 in (50%)

What this tells me is that I have a tiny baby with a big head...just kidding! She actually looks very proportional despite her average-sized head and small body.

I guess I'll post the birthday pictures already (I'm warning you in advance, they're not very great. I think my sister has some cuter ones, I'll post those as soon as I get them from her)...

Georgia attempting to open her first birthday present (I love how the gift bag is bigger than her:)

Mommy helping Georgia open the gift from Grandma and Grandpa Lifferth and the rest of the gang.

Georgia admiring Grandma's handiwork (note the Skittles clutched in her sweaty little hand. She wouldn't let go of them for the rest of the present-opening).

Georgia enjoying said Skittles.

Grandma Lifferth was sweet enough to make Ezra a Big Boy blanket so he wouldn't feel left out when Georgia was opening all of her presents. He loved it!

The cupcake flower I made for her birthday... I know, it's nothing to write home about, but I was please at how well it turned out.

The Birthday Girl enjoying her cake. She wasn't so sure about it when she found out she had to get her fingers dirty, but wild horses couldn't hold her back once she tasted the frosting.

Happy Birthday Miss Georgia Marie!
