Welcome to my life

Picture this: I'm sitting in church today during the passing of the sacrament. As Georgia had decided she just had to nurse right as the sacrament prayer began, I'm trying to discreetly nurse her under a blanket while still in the chapel (or in our case, the gym:P). Because I'm wearing a dress, I'm nursing from the top down. Right as the little deacon passes me the bread (I'm sitting on the end of the row), Georgia decides to come up for air and begins to flail, pulling down the blanket. Meanwhile, Ezra is sitting next to me, trying to pull my dress up my thigh, for reasons unknown. He had previously removed my shoes. I'm pretty sure the poor deacon got an eyeful, no matter which way he was looking. Welcome to my life.

Ezra has become quite the backseat driver. He informs us many times per car ride that "we're going fast." He also likes to repeat over and over, "watch out for the cars!" I have no problem with this-in fact, I think it's kind of cute. My problem begins when Ezra climbs into the front seat, locks all the doors, and insists that he "wants to drive." Give it about another 14 years, kid, and then we'll talk.

I'm slowly finding out that a child will bring adventures into your life that you never thought you'd experience...such as flashing random people or being told how to drive by a toddler. I have definitely flashed enough people in my life so far, but I have yet to experience the backseat driver (other than my husband) yet. Look forward to it!

Poor deacon! Its funny how mothers recover so much faster from those kind of incidents than other people. I guess shame goes out the window when you're a mother!

Haahaa! Poor little deacon! He was just trying to do his duty! There have been a few of those incidents in my life, too. I hope I haven't scarred too many little people! Ez is raring to take a go behind the wheel, huh? Maybe he'll do his uncle Kit proud and become a NASCAR driver!

I was cracking up laughing while I read this post. It makes for such a funny visual. I always felt so immodest while I was nursing...there was no telling what people would get a view of!

Too bad. Why does everything have to be so difficult at church?

A least you got a nice pair of legs to show off. ;)
There have been many a time that my boys decide that they are more season driver's then I am. Go figure... I think it is the chromosome. Blame it on Spence. :)

Hey! This is Lynnette from BBC! I have a crazy question for you. Are the Heath's in your ward?

Oh come on...his dad was driving LONG before he was 16.

That poor, poor deacon...he must have been shocked.

Actually...he probably enjoyed it.

What a funny breastfeeding story. What an awesome mommy for continuing to bf through your pregnancy. How's it going? Em nursed through D's. Some hard times, but I was so glad I was able to. :o)
